Dear Heart

安迪威廉斯（Andy Williams, 1927 - 2012）是大家熟悉的美國老牌歌星，
他的招牌歌曲多不勝數，其中最有名的當推《月河（Moon River）》,
是電影《第凡內早餐（Breakfast at Tiffanys）》的主題曲。
其它還有電影《愛的故事》（Love Story）主題曲 Where Do I Begin、
電影 《齊瓦戈醫生》（Doctor Zhivago）主題曲” Laras Theme”改編的“Somewhere My Love”
電影《教父》（The God Father）的主題曲“Speak Softly, Love”、
電影《相見時難別亦難》（Days of Wine and Roses）的同名主題曲等等
可是說也奇怪，這麼成功的歌星，在流行歌排行榜上，
他只有一首歌曾經登上王座，就是1957年的蝴蝶（Butterfly）。
我們今天貼的“ Dear Heart”（或譯《甜心》）， 也是同名電影的主題曲，
據說在臺灣，金城武曾經為易利信（Ericsson）拍了支廣告片。
因而使這首歌廣為流傳。
這首歌由Henry Mancini作曲， Ray Evans, 和 Jay Livingston作詞，
曾被提名1964年的奧斯卡金像獎的最佳原作曲獎，
但是不幸輸給《歡樂滿人間》（Mary Poppins）的“Chim Chim Cher-ee”。

Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head

這首歌是電影《龍虎小霸王》的主題曲，
（電影的原名是Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid），
由Hal David 和 Burt Bacharach 合作寫出。
主唱B. J. Thomas是美國60和70年代的歌手。
唱片的單張在1969年10月推出，
因為有些電臺的節目主持人對歌詞有所顧忌，
成績並不看好，一直要等到電影普遍上映以後，
歌曲開始大賣，1970年一月在流行榜上穩坐寶座達四個星期之久。
在電影中，這首歌出現在保羅紐曼所演的Butch Cassidy
騎著單車耍寶，向Katharine Ross 所演的Etta Place逗趣時的配樂。

Song Sung Blue

Neil Diamond尼爾．戴蒙是美國歌壇的巨星，
上個月我們介紹過他的“Sweet Caroline”，
這個月我們繼續介紹他的另外一首極受歡迎的歌，
“Song Sung Blue”也是由尼爾．戴蒙在1972年自寫自唱，
是他繼1970年的"Cracklin' Rosie"之後，
登上熱門歌曲排行榜榜首的第二支歌，
這支歌的創作靈感來自莫扎特的 第21號鋼琴協奏曲第二樂章。 這首歌在1973年被提名格蘭美獎的
最佳唱片與最佳歌曲獎，
可是那年的兩個獎都被 Roberta Flack所唱的
"The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face"得去。 殊為可惜。
