Here and Now

這是一首大家耳熟能詳的老歌，
但是大部分的人都不知道
它原來是一部1933年輕歌劇裏的一支歌，
由美國作曲家 Jerome Kern 
和作詞家 Otto Harbach 寫的 Roberta.

後來這部輕歌劇搬上銀幕，這支歌也有許多歌手翻唱，
由Paul Whiteman的樂隊伴奏，Bob Lawrence 主唱的版本
在1934年就登上了排行榜的王座。
後來又有許多版本，包括 Nat "King" Cole 在内都曾唱過。

不過現在大家最熟悉的是 The Platters 在1958年唱的這個版，
1958年開始 Billboard 雜誌開始 HOT100的每週排行，
The Platters 唱的Smoke Gets Into Your Eyes
即在 1959年登上HOT100的榜首。
