普利斯萊：《Are You Lonesome Tonight?》

這是貓王普利斯萊（Elvis Presley）
第二支在排行榜奪冠的曲子。
今宵你可寂寞？（Are You Lonesome Tonight?）
這首歌的歷史很久，寫成於1926年，
由Lou Handman 作曲，Roy Turk 作詞。
曾經有許多人唱過，但是都無佳績。

到了1950年代又從櫃子底被翻了出來，
有兩個版本上了排行榜，
1958到1960貓王在歐洲服役時
聽到了這支歌，很是喜歡。
1960年退役後即灌唱了，果然即時轟動，
高居排行王座達六個禮拜之久。

中間的説詞部分本於莎士比亞名劇
“As You Like it”裏頭的台詞，

   「這個世界原本是一個舞臺，
   所有的人都不過是演員而已...」
