這是一首改變鮑比文頓（Bobby Vinton）一生的歌曲。
早先，鮑比文頓志在組成自己的一個爵士樂隊，
他被 Epic 唱片網羅了以後，灌製了兩張爵士樂唱片，
成績都不理想，Epic 唱片有意解約。
Bobby Vinton 從被 Epic 唱片拒絕的歌堆裡，
找到這首曲子，
他說服了唱片公司老闆，讓他試一試．
唱片發行時，
鮑比文頓自知這是他在 Epic唱片的最後一個機會，
自掏腰包地買了許多唱片，
加上一朵紅玫瑰，
送給各大城市的主要 DJ，
這一招果然奏效，
本來就好聽的歌，
加上鮑比文頓甜美的歌喉，
DJ 們一炒動，果然就大紅特紅起來，
1962年在排行榜上高居第一名達四個禮拜之久。
鮑比文頓的唱歌生涯從此一帆風順。
