Stevie Wonder 生於1950年，從小雙目失明，
是美國音樂家、歌手、作曲家，會多種樂器，
是二十世紀，美國流行樂壇的奇葩，Motown的要員，
一生所灌的歌曲進入排行榜前十名的，多達30幾首，
得到的戈蘭米音樂獎25次，再加上終生成就獎。
他為1984年的電影 "The Woman in Red" (紅衣女郎)
唱的電影主題曲"I Just Called to Say I Love You"
得到奧斯卡金像獎。
這首My Cherie Amour 是紀念他在盲人學校念書時，
曾經愛慕一位女同學的歌曲。
由他和 Henry Cosby 以及Sylvia Moy 一起創作,
原來的歌名是 "Oh My Marcia"，
Sylvia Moy 建議改成 "My Cherie Amour"。
1969年在流行榜和 R&B 榜都升到第四名，
也成了Stevie Wonder 的招牌歌曲之一。
