愛情靈藥：搖滾篇

世間真有愛情靈藥這樣的東西嗎？
我們談的當然不是春藥之類的，
而是那種可以改變一個人，
使人由醜小鴨變成白天鵝
而對異性產生莫大吸引力的那種靈藥。
中外的藝術家們對這個主題都充滿好奇，
拿來做他們想象力發揮的對象。
這首“Love Potion No. 9”是Jerry Leiber
和 Mike Stoller 在1959年寫成的歌，
由韻律與藍調（R&B）合唱團 The Clovers 灌成單曲後，
即爬上告示牌排行榜，最高達到第23名。
這首歌後來又由許多樂隊唱過，
最著名的當屬 The Searchers。
The Clovers 這個樂隊在流行音樂的地位
是建立在韻律與藍調音樂上。
他們有21首歌在1950年代爬上
韻律與藍調排行榜，其中
“Don’t You Know”， “Fool” 和“Ting-A-Ling”
都曾登上藍調排行榜寶座。
